NOR-CON Comic Con Terms and Conditions
The purchase, acceptance or possession of a ticket, invitation, trader booking, exhibitor booking, group invitation, wristband, pass or other event credential for NOR-CON Comic Con confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By attending, trading, exhibiting, volunteering, performing, appearing, or otherwise taking part in the event, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions, all event rules, venue rules, safety instructions, and any reasonable directions given by NORCON Events Limited, venue staff, security, contractors or authorised representatives.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all attendees, ticket holders, invited guests, traders, exhibitors, groups, volunteers, contractors and other persons attending or participating in NOR-CON Comic Con.
1. Event Organiser
NOR-CON Comic Con is organised by NORCON Events Limited.
References to “NOR-CON”, “NORCON”, “the organisers”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean NORCON Events Limited and its authorised staff, representatives, contractors and agents.
2. Tickets, Wristbands and Entry
Tickets are issued subject to these Terms and Conditions.
All ticket purchasers should be aged 16 or over. Children and young people attending the event must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult where required by the event rules, venue rules, or applicable law.
Entry to the event is controlled by a unique ticket number, barcode, QR code, wristband, pass or other access credential. Each ticket or access credential may only be used once unless expressly stated otherwise.
The first person to present a valid ticket, barcode or QR code for entry will be deemed to be the authorised holder of that ticket and will be admitted, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
Duplicated, copied, altered, defaced, damaged, forged, transferred, resold or otherwise invalid tickets will not be accepted. Any person attempting to use such a ticket may be refused entry or removed from the event.
All ticket holders may be issued with a wristband, stamp, pass or other access credential. Wristbands must not be removed, transferred, tampered with or damaged. Removal or tampering may invalidate entry or re-entry.
NORCON Events Limited reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person from the event where we reasonably believe they have breached these Terms and Conditions, venue rules, safety requirements, licensing requirements, or any reasonable instruction given by event staff or security. Our decision is final.
3. Refunds, Transfers and Cancellations
Tickets are sold for the NOR-CON Comic Con event as a whole and not for any specific guest, actor, celebrity, performer, panel, stage talk, photoshoot, trader, exhibitor, attraction, display or activity.
All advertised guests, celebrities, performers, traders, exhibitors, attractions, activities, stage talks, panels, entertainment, schedules and programme items are subject to availability and may change or be cancelled without prior notice.
Every reasonable effort will be made to announce significant changes through our website, social media, ticketing platform, pre-event information, or onsite announcements where practical. However, last-minute changes may occur.
NORCON Events Limited has no control over guest availability, professional work commitments, illness, travel disruption, personal circumstances, force majeure events, or other matters outside our reasonable control.
Tickets are generally non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated, except where required by law or where NORCON Events Limited agrees otherwise at its sole discretion.
If the event is cancelled, postponed, rescheduled or materially changed by NORCON Events Limited, your legal rights will not be affected. Any refund, transfer or alternative arrangement will be handled in accordance with applicable law, the ticketing provider’s terms, and any specific event announcement issued by NORCON Events Limited.
Booking fees, transaction charges, postage fees, payment processing fees or other third-party charges may be non-refundable unless required by law or by the relevant ticketing provider’s terms.
4. Guest Appearances, Photoshoots, Autographs and Selfies
Guest appearances are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice.
The cancellation of an individual guest, photoshoot, autograph session, stage talk or panel does not automatically entitle the ticket holder to a refund for general event admission.
Some guests may charge separately for autographs, selfies, photoshoots, recordings or other services. Prices, availability and rules are set by the guest, their agent, or NORCON Events Limited and may change.
Photography, filming or recording of guests may be restricted. Please follow all instructions given by guests, agents, event staff or security.
Celebrities and guests will not accept personal contact details, unsolicited scripts, gifts, promotional material, convention invitations, business proposals, flyers or other material unless expressly agreed in advance by NORCON Events Limited.
5. Photography, Filming and Media
By purchasing a ticket, accepting an invitation, attending, trading, exhibiting or otherwise taking part in NOR-CON, you acknowledge that you may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, recorded or otherwise captured by official NOR-CON photographers, videographers, press, media teams or authorised content creators.
Official photographs, videos, recordings and media captured at NOR-CON may be used by NORCON Events Limited for event coverage, archival purposes, social media, website content, advertising, marketing, press, promotional material and other legitimate event-related purposes.
Such official event media shall remain the property of NORCON Events Limited or the relevant authorised creator, subject to any applicable agreements.
NORCON Events Limited is not responsible for photographs, videos, recordings, livestreams or other media captured by members of the public, attendees, traders, exhibitors, guests, press or third parties, or for the use, misuse, publication or distribution of such material by those parties.
Images or photographs submitted to NORCON Events Limited for inclusion on the NOR-CON website, social media pages, galleries or promotional material may be used for NOR-CON promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
NORCON Events Limited is not responsible for any images from our website, social media pages or other platforms being copied, shared, reused or misused by third parties.
6. Personal Belongings, Safety and Liability
You enter the event site, venue, car parks, external areas and surrounding areas at your own risk.
NORCON Events Limited, its officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, agents and representatives are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced property.
Attendees are responsible for their own belongings at all times.
Whilst NORCON Events Limited will take reasonable precautions to support attendee safety, we cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage, injury, illness or incident except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.
7. Communicable Diseases and Public Health
By attending NOR-CON, you acknowledge that public events carry an inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases, viruses and infections.
NORCON Events Limited will take reasonable steps to follow any applicable public health guidance or legal requirements in force at the time of the event.
Attendees must not attend if they are required by law or official guidance to isolate, or if they knowingly present a risk to others through a contagious illness.
NORCON Events Limited cannot guarantee that attendees will not be exposed to communicable diseases or viruses at the event.
8. Behaviour, Harassment and Conduct
NOR-CON is intended to be a welcoming, safe and enjoyable event for all attendees, guests, traders, exhibitors, staff, volunteers and participants.

“Cosplay is not consent.” Costumes, character performance, props or participation in cosplay do not give anyone permission to touch, photograph, film, follow, harass or make inappropriate comments to another person.
Any person found to be harassing others, behaving inappropriately, causing a disturbance, ignoring staff instructions, or breaching these Terms and Conditions may be removed from the event without refund and without readmission.
Any harassment, safeguarding or safety concern should be reported immediately to a member of the NOR-CON team, event security, venue staff or an authorised representative.
9. Cosplay, Costumes and Props
NOR-CON welcomes cosplay, subject to event safety rules, venue rules and reasonable standards of conduct.
Some costumes may be intimidating, scary or unsuitable for very young children. Parents, guardians and carers are responsible for supervising children in their care.
NORCON Events Limited reserves the right to refuse or require alteration or removal of any costume, prop, sign, display or item that we consider unsafe, offensive, discriminatory, overly revealing, politically inflammatory, religiously inflammatory, sexually inappropriate, obstructive, or otherwise unsuitable for a family-friendly public event.

All cosplay weapons and props must be non-working, safe, and peace-bonded where required.
No functioning projectile weapons are permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, airsoft weapons, BB guns, pellet guns, water pistols, silly-string guns, ping-pong pistols, crossbows, slingshots or any item capable of firing a projectile.
Bladed props must be blunt, safe, and kept sheathed, cased or otherwise secured when not being used for approved photographs or cosplay presentation.
Real knives, firearms, explosives, pyrotechnics, dangerous tools, sharp weapons, illegal weapons or any item deemed unsafe by the organisers or security are not permitted.
Any prop or item used in an offensive, threatening, dangerous or irresponsible manner may be confiscated and the person responsible may be removed from the event without refund.
NORCON Events Limited and event security reserve the right to inspect, peace-bond, refuse, confiscate or require removal of any prop, weapon, costume element or item considered unsafe or unsuitable.
11. Alcohol, Smoking and Vaping
No alcohol may be brought into or consumed inside the venue unless expressly permitted by the venue and event licence.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the venue.
Smoking and vaping may only take place in designated external areas where provided and permitted by the venue.
12. Flyers, Leaflets and Promotional Material
It is not permitted to place, distribute, hand out, leave or display flyers, cards, leaflets, posters, samples, promotional items or marketing material at NOR-CON without prior written permission from NORCON Events Limited.
Any unauthorised material may be removed and disposed of.
Anyone distributing unauthorised material in the event area, venue, car parks, queues or immediate grounds may be asked to stop. Continued breach may result in removal from the event without refund.
